I have been following the Mars Curiosity Rover as it sends back amazing images of the surface of the Red Planet. But nothing has been more amazing than NASA's announcement today: they found evidence of liquid water on Mars.
Where there's water, there's life. Where there's life, humans are bound to go there. Are we on the verge of experiencing a scene from Prometheus?
This photo looks so damn convincing. The streaks do prove there was once liquid flowing through the surface of the Red Planet:
I'm telling you, it the Mars Curiosity Rover captures a real Martian in one of its many cameras, I bet it's going to scare the shit out of everyone on Earth.
On the other hand, how do you think will this affect Matt Damon's "The Martian"? I'm sure people will see it to see out of curiosity. However, people will be disappointed right off the bat with the major inconsistency that this new discovery has presented. The film's plot that says nothing grows on Mars and he has to "science the shit" of his situation is now not entirely accurate.

Photo: From Live Your Legend
I was flicking through some TEDx videos to find some inspiration when I found this video of Scott Dinsmore, founder of Live Your Legend. The 33-year-old gave a very important and inspiring talk about how to find work you love - something I've personally been struggling with for a few years now.
While I do [kind of] love what I do and the things that come with it, there is still a feeling of emptiness in my daily work life. It is so much easier to say "find the job you really enjoy" or "find what you think is fun and you'll never have to worry about work ever". Frankly, only a few people are lucky to turn their passion into something profitable. For most of us, needs and responsibilities dictate the course of our actions in our professional lives. So how do we marry these two goals?
After watching the video, I found out the three important things you need in order to find the solution to this problem. First, you must find your unique strengths. Know thy self before answering the question "What should I really do in order to be happy?"
Second, stick to your values. Values make up your entire self. These are things you won't trade for fame or a big paycheck. Come to think of it, some people are miserable in their jobs because they feel like they "sold their souls to the devil". Something just doesn't feel right. They gave up their values and traded it for something they thought would make them happy.
Third, mark your experiences. A very powerful message Scott mentioned in this video is making sure you list down the qualities of the person you look up to or aspire to be like.
Last and perhaps the most important thing from Scott: surround yourself with passionate people. Connect with people who are relentlessly aiming for success in life. Stick to your miserable, sad little group and you'll end up sharing sob stories and workplace nightmares over cold coffee.
The last one may be pretty hard to attain though, especially when you're stuck in a situation where you can't quit your job because you have no alternative yet (operative word: YET). The trick is to change your surroundings. Instill a culture that avoids all sorts of negative behavior towards work. Be the force of change and stop complaining about work.
One quote Scott showed during his TEDx talk says, "You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with." - Jim Rohn. That is such a revealing statement! It is also such a sad realization. Whatever thoughts I have right now about what I do and my position in life have somewhat been influenced by the people I constantly interact with. So Scott said: "Don't change your goals. Change your surroundings!"
Sadly, we will never get to hear more inspiring words from Scott Dinsmore. The Daily Mail reported that he was struck and killed by a boulder while climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro with his wife during their adventure around the world. We lost a great and inspiring soul - but his message, through this video I would like to share with all of you, will be heard for many years to come. I hope it will help all of us find meaning in what we do, and eventually, find work we all love.
Now I wonder how reliable this great find is: You can write a letter to your future self. What would you put in your letter?
"The Siri voices were recorded in 2005 in the month of July, four hours a day for the whole month," Bennett told CNN. "When I recorded those voices, I had absolutely no idea where they would end up."

I first found out about Elon Musk and his brilliant ideas when I watched 'Revenge of the Electric Car'. This guy has the vision and drive to change the world. And he already started. Years ago, he launched the Tesla electric car the paved way to more electric cars on the street.
Musk has been dubbed as the real-life Tony Stark, not just because he's rich, but he might also be a genius-billionaire-philantropist (not sure about the 'playboy' part). In this video, he impresses us with a Leap Motion Controller, a tool used to design with the use of only hand gestures. Yes, like the one we all saw in those Iron Man movies. Who knew we're not only close to getting this type of technology... it's already here! Watch in awe:

It's here! Hours before the much-anticipated Nokia Zoom event, the leaks are coming out left and right! A video was released on YouTube which confirms the specs of the new Lumia: 41-megapixel Zeiss Lens with Pro Camera app, OIS and whole lots of goodies. The video was taken down an hour after its release but Engadget's bright minds were able to snatch the video. Watch it below:
I am addicted to Vine! I don't care if Instagram added video. So far, I've seen more creative Vines. Instagram is just full of shameless selfies. Here are the hilarious people I follow on Vine:
And the Stop Motion gurus:
Who are you following on Vine?
What a surprise! Apple launched iOS and it looked quite... inspired. Yep, needless to say I think the new iOS version is a different take on both Android and Windows Phone. It just goes to show that WP is doing something right! And what's up with that satisfaction chart showing that WP users are more satisfied than Android users? Is Apple giving WP a boost so they can join forces to crush Android?
So the rumors are finally put to rest. Yahoo! just acquired Tumblr for a cool $1.1B. That's higher than the acquisition cost of Instagram! It's also the first ever acquisition announced through a GIF.
Many Tumblr users expressed their disappointment fearing that this deal will destroy the popular blogging platform. Yahoo! is known for 'killing' anything it acquires - Geocities and even Flickr were once popular sites but struggled (with Geocities eventually folding) since Yahoo's acquisition.

I wonder how much this will cost.. Here's a demo video on how to use Google Glass. It's pretty cool though I wish they would demo how people can use it in real life. What apps are available? Obviously I can't do Candy Crush on this gadget.
The much-anticipated Facebook for Android event just wrapped. Facebook Home for Android was unveiled as well as the new HTC First device. Facebook Home looks like any launcher in the app store but you can do a lot of cool stuff too. It will be initially available to HTC One, One X and X+ and Note II. Downloads on Google Play will start on April 12.
Watch these videos:
If you are a Candy Crush addict like me, this will delight you. King, the maker of the popular Facebook game, launched 2 more games called Papa Pear Saga and Farm Heroes Saga. Check out the screenshots below.
Things are looking up for game-maker King. They recently came on top and beat Zynga to become number one in Facebook gaming. Candy Crush Saga has 9.7 million daily users beating Farmville with 8.8 Million users.

I used to play Draw Something everyday but I moved on to other games. Apparently, Zynga is working on the 2nd release of the popular game. Ryan Seacrest recently tweeted a photo of the beta version and it looks like there will be a lot of new features.
Samsung learned so much from the Apple way of marketing their products. Days leading up to yesterday's event, there were a lot of leaks and rumors about the new Samsung Galaxy S4. It's finally here and it looks pretty neat. It has a bigger screen too. It has a 4.99" Super AMOLED display with PenTile technology. That's almost the same size as the 1st Galaxy Note! Who needs that much real estate? Apparently, a lot of people do. The biggest question on my mind right now: how's the battery life. That's always the deal breaker for all phones.

I think my wish just came true. There's now an app which was launched at SXSW called the Hater app. It allows all social media users to snap a photo of things that irk you and lets you show the world how much you dislike them. It's now available on iOS and will soon be released on Android.
I am super amazed when I saw the demonstration of the Google Glass. This is what technology should be like. It's super functional and super out-of-this-world-crazy-good. The question is, when will it be available and what will be its price tag?
I use an iPad but I have a Kindle app. I would love to have a Kindle but a tablet can offer more than eBook reading. Check out these cool Kindle covers. I wish they had iPad versions of these.
