It's official: There's Liquid Water on Mars

Tuesday, September 29, 2015

I have been following the Mars Curiosity Rover as it sends back amazing images of the surface of the Red Planet. But nothing has been more amazing than NASA's announcement today: they found evidence of liquid water on Mars.

Where there's water, there's life. Where there's life, humans are bound to go there. Are we on the verge of experiencing a scene from Prometheus?

This photo looks so damn convincing. The streaks do prove there was once liquid flowing through the surface of the Red Planet:

I'm telling you, it the Mars Curiosity Rover captures a real Martian in one of its many cameras, I bet it's going to scare the shit out of everyone on Earth.

On the other hand, how do you think will this affect Matt Damon's "The Martian"? I'm sure people will see it to see out of curiosity. However, people will be disappointed right off the bat with the major inconsistency that this new discovery has presented. The film's plot that says nothing grows on Mars and he has to "science the shit" of his situation is now not entirely accurate.
