GSMArena reports that a recent Kantar survey shows that Android and iOS are still the top mobile OS platforms. Windows Phone is gaining momentum at the expense of Blackberry and Symbian. That's good news for Nokia! Personally, I love Windows Phone but the one major downside is the lack of quality apps. With the growth of WP, I am hoping that more and more developers are going to be more interested in releasing apps or at least get more of the existing popular apps to this promising OS.
The wait is over! The Windows Phone 8 carrying Nokia Lumias are here! I have yet to go through each and every feature but it looks like these new devices are really great = except for Nokia Lumia 820 which doesn't really differentiate itself much from its predecessor.

Apple wins infringement case versus Samsung for $ 1.049 Bn
Wow is not even going to cover this. The court released the much anticipated verdict of the infringement case filed by Apple against Samsung - and they won! The court awarded Apple $ 1.049 billion in damages. The complaint stemmed from the patents which Samsung allegedly copied from the iPhone. One of these features are the bounce back (the animation that happens when you get to the end of your apps display) which the South Korean manufacturer put on their Droid Charge and Galaxy Tab.
Oooh, this is definitely going to hurt the Android platform. I wonder how many infringement cases Apple will file after this? And exactly how vulnerable is the OS right now? Would they consider investing in Windows Phone 8?
